Is Registration Mandatory?
Yes, for the 2026 Chardham Yatra season, the Uttarakhand Government has made Biometric Registration mandatory for all pilgrims visiting Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. You cannot enter the shrines without a valid Yatra Pass (QR Code).
How to Register Online (4 Simple Steps)
Step 01: Visit the Official Portal
Go to the official Uttarakhand Tourism website:
registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in or download the "Tourist Care Uttarakhand" mobile app.
Step 02: Create Your Account
Sign up using your mobile number and email. You will receive an OTP for verification.
Step 03: Fill Pilgrim Details
Enter details for all travelers, including Name, Age, Gender, and Address. You will need a valid ID proof like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.
Step 04: Download Yatra Pass
Once submitted, you will receive a Yatra Registration Letter with a unique QR Code. Download and print this, or save it on your phone.
Important Dates for 2026
Registration is expected to open in late March 2026, approximately 30-45 days before the temple opening dates. We recommend registering as soon as the portal opens to secure your preferred dates.
